Wii Lose Weight

Playing the Nintendo Wii console seems to have some beneficial side effects. It seems that the movements involved can actually allow you to lose weight. It is suprising but logical that one is able to do this while making losing weight an actually fun thing to do.

Can You Really Lose Weight With The Wii?

I think the answer is yes. By no means do I think this is a major part of your serious weight loss goals,Wii Lose Weight Articles but with the natural body movements it causes, one can indeed lose something. The more body movement involved, the more calories are burned. The sports games has a fitness trainer but this has more to do with your skill level rather than your ultimate health level. It still makes for a nice exercise routine though.

In my personal experience, the most physically challenging and calorie burning sports game is the Boxing. Tennis is the second runner-up. All that punching at nothing and swinging your arms through the air is sure to make me break a sweat and burn some calories. Because of its fun factor, I do it more often, thus burning more calories.

The Boxing game reminds me of Taebo. Same concept here so it makes sense that you can lose weight playing the Wii.

Bowling and Golf are more casual movement Puravive games so I dont feel like I am burning as much calories with those, and am most likely not, but they do provide some nice movement and stretching which is a good thing.

To get the full benefit from these sports games, one has to perform the full range of movements as if you are really playing the game and do this on a consistent basis. Then, I think, weight loss can occur with fairly good results.

My muscles were sore for the first few days so I could really tell which ones were not being used before playing Wii Sports. I guess I really was getting some kind of exercise.

Of course, the more you enjoy the game, the more you will play it, and the more calories will melt be burned up. Tennis is my favorite game and I always break a sweat while playing it.
